From the moment we opened our doors more than a half-century ago to the present day, our goal has always been to improve the health and well-being of our patients and our community. Keeping this philosophy in mind, Metro Health has evolved over the years from a single hospital to a widespread health system. Metro Health Hospital remains this system's largest venture, but it's only one part of what is now becoming an integrated group of health care organizations known collectively as Metro Health. Today, this distinct group, located in the Greater Grand Rapids area,  includes physician organizations, neighborhood outpatient centers, managed care services, a philanthropic foundation and more. As a comprehensive and growing network, our purpose is to provide patients with a more simplified, seamless and personal health care experience.
