*The Obstetrics and Gynecology program also has a full 4-year program for those physicians who have completed a traditional internship and wish to begin a OB-GYN residency.
The residency clinic at Metro Health Hospital provides clinical experience in an all new facility. The OB-GYN residents average 250 obstetric visits and 120 gynecological visits per month. Each resident provides full care as they follow their own patients. The clinics provide a well-rounded educational experience and are fully staffed by practicing OB-GYN physicians in the Grand Rapids community. The resident is trained in a wide range of office procedures including colposcopy, LEEP, hysteroscopy, and much more.
TRACKING PROGRAM
The tracking program allows residents to complete their Obstetrics and Gynecology training in four years. The first year of training combines a traditional internship with the first year of OB-GYN training. The remaining three years completes full training in OB-GYN.
