The Metro Health Hospital Heart & Vascular Center offers convenient, state-of-the-art care at one easy-to-reach location. Metro Health has teamed up with West Michigan Heart and its leading group of board certified physicians to offer a full spectrum of cardiac specialties just inside the front door of Metro Health Hospital. From emergent conditions like heart attacks and chest pain to diagnostic and preventive care, our team is well equipped to address a wide range of needs.
Cardiologists, interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons and other physicians work within the Heart and Vascular Center. They perform procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterization, emergent angioplasty, vascular angiograms, as well as interventions and electrophysiology studies. Implantation of pacemakers and defribrillators occurs at the center along with a full range of non-invasive diagnostic services.
The cardiovascular lab includes a 12-bed pre- and post-care area where patients benefit from state-of-the-art bedside monitoring systems that detect the slightest problems and immediately alert nursing staff. Patients also enjoy perks like their own televisions to make their stays more comfortable.
