Ed Kornoelje, DO
Dr. Kornoelje is a board-certified family medicine physician and sports medicine specialist. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Metro Health Hospital. In addition to his role as medical director for Metro Health Sports Medicine, Dr. Kornoelje serves as medical director for several local sporting events. He is the team physician fro Calvin College and also covers local professional teams and community events.
Steven VanNoord, MD
Dr. VanNoord is board certified in family practice and sports medicine. He received his medical degree at the Chicago College of Medicine at the University of Illinois and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Ohio State University. Dr. VanNoord is the team physician for Grand Valley State University and Hudsonville High School. He also provides his expertise to the Grand Rapids Griffins, West Michigan Whitecaps and various other community events. Dr. VanNoord offers general family practice and sports injury management to all of his patients.
Kristi Kern, DO
Dr. Kern is board certified in family medicine, sports medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine/OMM residency and sports medicine fellowship through Metro Health Hospital. Dr. Kern cares for entire families and has a particular interest in the care of athletes, especially using hands-on treatment for a range of musculoskeletal problems. She is an avid sports enthusiast, having participated in basketball and track in college.
Aryn Johnson, DO
Dr. Johnson is a board certified family medicine physician and sports medicine specialist. He earned his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family practice residency and a sports medicine fellowship at Metro Health Hospital. Dr. Johnson is a team physician for Davenport University. He also covers local professional teams and community events. Dr. Johnson offers medical care in general family practice and osteopathic manipulative medicine, as well as sports injury prevention and management.
Matthew Boyd, MD
Dr. Boyd is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at Saint Mary's Health Care and sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University. Dr. Boyd is the team physician for Grand Valley State University. He also covers local professional teams and community events.
Terence Reuben, PT, CPT, CSC
Working closely with our sports medicine team, Reuben uses his specialty in orthopedics, manual therapy, sports medicine and personal training to manage athletes and their injuries. He also performs biomechanical evaluations, helping fit patients with custom orthotics. Reuben works closely with a number of Grand Rapids area athletic teams and community events. He is also an avid triathlete and runner who brings his expertise in these sports to his patients.
